The six-part BBC1 series created by BAFTA-winning writer Nick Leather (The Control Room, Mother’s Day) will see passengers battling to save themselves during a sleeper train journey from Glasgow to London.

Told in real-time across 6, nail-biting hours, this modern take on the old classic is sure to have audiences on the edge of their seats, right to the end of the line. As a sleeper train sets off from Glasgow to London, on the usually peaceful overnight journey, a serious incident leaves a crowd of passengers trapped inside and speeding off into the night with no escape. The government agency tasked with investigating this national nightmare, wage battle with an anonymous villain – or could it be international forces outside their control? – to stop the sleeper before it’s too late. A genius government employee in London and a fearless passenger stranded on the sleeper train, are forced to work together under intense pressure to save the day, or more accurately the night.
